DICK’s Sporting Goods, Field & Stream Stores In Cedar Park Set For March 3 Grand Opening
CEDAR PARK, TX — Pittsburgh-based DICK’s Sporting Goods has scheduled a grand opening of their Cedar Park store for March 3, company officials said Tuesday.
Upon its opening, the local store will be the 677th location for the sporting goods retailer, and the 29th Field & Stream store nationwide, company officials noted. In Texas, there are DICK’s stores with the added Cedar Park location, which is the third one in Texas, they added.
The opening also represents an entry for the combined concepts in the greater Austin area featuring both retailers under the same roof. There are three other DICK’s Sporting Goods location in Austin. The retailers are the latest entrants into the fast-growing community, joining a mix of commercial tenants at the 42-acre, 370,000-square-foot shopping center dubbed The Parke, along the 183-A toll road near East New Hope Drive, developed by Austin-based Endeavor Real Estate Group.
“We’re excited to offer Austin, and in-particular, the Cedar Park community, two great stores in one location,” Lauren Hobart, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, DICK’S Sporting Goods, said in a prepared statment. “The rich history of sports and outdoor traditions in this market provide us with a great opportunity to serve the community in a way only we can. The new stores will carry a wide range of apparel, equipment and accessories, including offerings from exclusive brands such as CALIA by Carrie Underwood, Field & Stream and Walter Hagen.”
The new location is the eleventh of its kind in the country to open, company officials said. At roughly 90,000 square feet, the unique shopping destination will offer the convenience of being able to purchase all sporting goods and outdoor needs at one time and in one location, company officials touted. Additionally, the DICK’S store will also include a premium footwear section offering a broad selection of sports performance and casual footwear.
The stores will host their grand opening celebrations from Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5. Visiting customers will have a chance to win great prizes and meet special guests that will include Troy Landry, Sean Lee, Jay Novacek and Colt McCoy throughout the weekend.
