Plans to reinvent a struggling San Marcos shopping center have taken a step forward with two new tenants signing sizable leases.

When Austin-based Endeavor Real Estate Group took over Springtown Center in November, the 200,000-square-foot plaza, at Interstate 35 and Springtown Way, was only about 10 percent occupied.
